Perfect Software Metrics and How to Use Them DB3-09-DIST Product ID: 00000062 Abstract:
What You Will Learn:
Get In the Driver’s Seat to Avoid Out-of-Control Projects
What’s in a perfect software metric? More than numbers plotted on a graph, a perfect metric paints a better picture. By incorporating information that increases management insight, perfect metrics are more effective tools for decision-making, problem avoidance and troubleshooting.
Distributive Management has been a software metrics expert for over 15 years, participating in organizations such as INCOSE , as an author of ISO/IEEE standards, and as a contributor to the CMMI. During the webinar, we’ll show you how our metrics dashboard software, DataDrill, puts management teams in the driver’s seat with more complete metrics that connect status data with management knowledge to help projects avoid common pitfalls.
We’ll set the stage by troubleshooting, as examples, project problems such as being behind schedule, not meeting requirements, and poor quality.
Topics include:
• Creating and Delivering Perfect Metrics
• Ensuring Metrics Are Easily Consumable
• Increasing Metrics Utilization
• Tracking Trends, Plans, Status and Compliance
