How do you measure consulting? it depends! - DM1-02 Product ID: 00000051 Abstract:
How do you measure consulting? it depends! How the only path to consulting success is through meaningful and measureable impacts.
Delivering client value through projects as a consultant requires at deft hand at rapidly making the unknown known, quantifying it, and defining how you will measure the change required. This process will be a unique journey with each client, but there are four elements that make engagements more likely to succeed. Those key elements, each of which need to be measured to ensure the greatest possible meaningful impact, include:
1. Analysis unless you know what you are changing how will you measure success
2. Design unless you bring quantified expected value into your design your efforts may fall short
3. Execution managing change means knowing which measures to monitor and in which order
4. Current keeping track of projects context means measuring some critical variables knowing which ones and under what circumstances can help avoid undesirable outcomes.
How simple guidelines for engagement can prevent headaches down the road.
