Abstract:
This session is a subset of the 1/2 day workshop that is currently being offered to organizations - Project P.L.A.Y. – Providing Leadership Activities Year-round. It is important that project managers have the skills in forming, leading and facilitating teams. Most times we are given a team without the luxury of selecting them. This session will focus on how to understand the people and personalities on your team while ensuring maximum performance. The Project Manager must be able to answer the following questions for their teams to perform accordingly:
1. What is the reason for this project?
2. What is expected of each member (roles, responsibilities and expectations)?
3. How will we work together?
4. What resources are available to the team?
5. How will success be measured?
6. How will the team be recognized / rewarded?

Project Managers will be provided with the tools and techniques that are simple, realistic and repeatable to ensure the maximum performance of the team.

About the Presenter
Lisa Pratt-Sanchez has a Master of Science from Polytechnic University and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Albany in New York. She is certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI) as a Project Management Professional and by SAP in the Accelerated SAP (ASAP) Project Management Methodology.

Lisa is an information technology professional with over thirteen years of demonstrated success in managing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) project implementations, upgrades and support. She has been a key contributor on a number of project implementations across various industries. Experience includes functioning as Program / Project Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Lead Business Application Consultant, Configuration Specialist, Team Member and Trainer in designing and delivering solutions in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Customer Order Management, Warehouse Management System, Logistics Execution, Production Planning, Inventory Management, and Quality Management in diverse industry areas.

Employers have included Ernst & Young, Hewlett Packard, Eisner Consulting, Pitney Bowes, Cadbury Schweppes and Jorions Inc. Employer clients have included Long Island Lighting Company, Digital Equipment Corporation, Betz Laboratories, Amoco, Bosch, Mitsubishi, Ajinomoto, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Dannon and Southern Wine & Spirits. She is currently the President and Owner of Jorions Inc. which offers consulting services and workshops in Project Management Consulting, Project Management Office creation, Team Building workshops, Leadership Development and Project Management Etiquette.

Lisa has been an active member in two PMI chapters since 2004. She has volunteered and participated in chapter events at the Westchester NY chapter and currently in the South Florida Chapter.
